2009 Partner Conference

Well, to say that it’s been a fantastic week would be an understatement.  Pictage PartnerCon was a great experience with all the programs, the food and the people.  I wanted to take a moment to recognize a few people that really contributed to the huge success of the conference.  First off there’s a good friend of mine that works at Pictage, Scott Anderson and he had a couple of partners in crime with Emily Engle and Lisa Allen.  The new CEO of Pictage, Jim Collins who is rapidly becoming a huge cheerleader for our industry.  His passion is seriously infectious!  There was also the efforts of Scott Muira, Heather Rollins, Paul Manke, Jason O’Hare, Michael Caro, Simon Anderson, Monty Jessip, Danny Faccini and a host of other employees who worked extremely hard to bring this conference to fruition.  I dare not leave out those that organized the Hurricane Katrina victims photo shoot, Chris Williams and Will Jacks.  Others like Joe Bussink, David Beckstead and Denis Reggie also assisted and lent their talents to this noble cause.  There were probably upwards of 100 others that assisted as well.  All I can say is that it was a job well done and you all deserve the recognition.  I can’t wait for the conference next year!  I have assembled a short slide show in their honor that you can view by clicking here.

Pictage Partner Conference

It’s been a really great week in New Orleans at the Pictage Partner Conference.  I had the privilege of giving my presentation today and tomorrow morning will be leading a group of 25 photographers to do a creative composition shooting session with 2 models and later in the day photographing families that lost their images during Katrina.  I had the opportunity to see old friends and create a few new ones.  I also got the chance to meet and visit with the new CEO of Pictage, Jim Collins and it’s fun to see someone that’s so passionate about our industry.  Wonderful things are on the horizon for Pictage!
